Hello! I’m Shreeya, a journalist and communications professional based in the Bay Area.

What I do: research complex topics, contextualize them, and craft stories that everyone can appreciate. I’ve done this at the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, at Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso, and at KQED News.

I specialize in creating stories for large audiences. I wrote newsletter articles for an audience of 25,000 people at Midpen, crafted research briefs for a podcast with over 50,000 listeners per week at Talk Easy, and reported on local news for 500,000 listeners at KQED.

I also worked at a nationally-renowned defense trade magazine before graduating from the George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2022.

I switched career paths from journalism to communications in 2024 because I wanted to use my storytelling skills to champion hope and be a part of creating a sustainable future.

I am looking for my next opportunity, particularly in sustainability, green tech, and government spaces. I thrive in fast-paced work environments. I’m at my best when I’m learning something new.

Thank you for being here, and I hope you enjoy looking through my featured work!
